"Hassle-free projects" made possible by Branham Electric!

How do we know your new construction, maintenance or service project will be hassle-free? Because workforce training takes center stage at Branham Electric where highly trained and educationed electricians make up the majority of our electrical and low voltage crews. This emphasis on education is due to our owner's realizing that well-trained electricians have higher self-confidence, which enables them to provide you, our customer, with the highest quality customer service and electrical installation possible. Our electricians benefit from the following training:

Independent Electrical Contractor's (IEC) programs include a four-year Apprenticeship Training Program and a two-year Journeyman's Training Program. Both programs are:

  • Certified by the Department of Labor's Bureau of Apprenticeship & Training (BAT)
  • And graduates receive a Department of Labor's Bureau of Apprenticeship & Training electrical journeyman's certification.

Students in both programs receive 172 hours of classroom and lab time per year. The four-year apprenticeship program requires students to complete 8,000 hours of on-the-job training prior to receiving their journeyman's certification. The two-year journeyman's program is designed for electricians who have over 8,000 hours of certifiable electrical "field" experience, but no structured "classroom" training. Over 95% of Branham Electric's electricians have completed or are in the process of completing one of these programs.

CONTINUING EDUCATION: Branham takes advantage of excellent electrical training programs offered locally through the IEC, the St. Louis Electrical Board and the International Association of Electrical Inspectors(IAEI). Course topics include: OSHA 10-Hour safety training, foreman's training, electrical grounding, NEC code classes and updates, low voltage classes and certifications, fiber optics, motor controls/transformers, and project management just to name a few.

STRUCTURED WIRING/LOW VOLTAGE: Each of Branham's low voltage installers hold product certificates from each of the manufactures which we install.
